The 22nd Annual Gynecologic Surgery Conference will be held as a Special Interest Group presentation at the Annual ACOG Meeting. This will be held at the Washington DC Convention Center, Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
This conference is directed to practicing gynecologic surgeons. The topics for discussion are those of new and important issues in gynecologic surgery: hysteroscopic sterilization using the Essure system, digital imaging in endoscopy for the new electronic medical records, and selecting antibiotics for gynecologic surgery

WASHINGTON, DC - 2005
The attendees of the 2005 meeting in Washington say the meeting was a success. Over 90% of the physicians rated the course excellent to good.
Physicians came from 13 states and the District of Columbia. In addition 20 residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology from George Washington and Georgetown University Schools of Medicine attended. Several new members for our Society signed up at this meeting.
Particularly popular were the hands-on stations for hysteroscopy sterilization and virtual reality hysteroscopy surgery. Industry support for the meeting was good. Cooper Surgical, Immersion Medical, Conceptus Inc., Karl Storz Endoscopy America Inc, and Cytyc were represented.
The Gynecologic Surgery Society held a membership meeting in association with the April 2005 meeting in Washington. Our society can benefit from expanded membership. You can help in this effort. If each member enrolls just one new physician, our Society will double in number and influence. Be sure to support your Journal, it is a unique and valuable part of our Society.
